Get ready to own one of the most versatile skis you’ve ever taken onto a chairlift. Most people like to go fast sometimes and get silly at others – sometimes in the same run. With the Black Crows Serpo under you, your alpine days can happily accommodate the best of both worlds.
Black Crows deploys its specialty H-shaped core-reinforcement design on the Serpo. Alongside the poplar wood at the core, there is a layer of Titanal. The metal runs the full width of the ski underfoot but only out at the edge as you move toward the tip and tail. This delivers a best-of-both-worlds feel ripping downhill: The Black Crows Serpo is nimble into and out of turns with great dampening and rigidity underfoot.
That same H-shaped core design gets you another bonus, too. The high-speed stability and power of a metal ski can often come with a heft and sluggishness at lower velocity, but not so for the Black Crows Serpo. You’ll feel every iota of that Titanal power in the driver’s seat but still get a playful, sleek pivot and easy turn initiation when you decide to slow things down.
