The most balanced all-mountain women’s ski in Nordica’s versatile and popular Santa Ana line, the Santa Ana 98 feeds every appetite, every day.
If a 93 milimeter waist is too small for you but a 104 sounds too big, the Nordica Santa Ana 98 is what you’re looking for. This is a firm, stable, ultrafast downhill ripper built for in-bounds groomer days, but with the width and engineering details required to play in softer stuff too.
Though it has the soul of a pure alpine in-bounds charger, Nordica uses its Energy 2 Ti core to give the Santa Ana 98 a healthy dose of versatility. The full wood core sandwiched with one layer of titanium and another of GR400 carbon glass allow the Santa Ana 98 to blast through the crud and dive hard into high-speed turns, but also play nice when the powder invites us into a mellower form of all-mountain exploration.
The Santa Ana line’s tip, tail, and core have been reengineered for 2022. Nordica reduced the amount of heavy ABS plastic at either end of the ski, replacing that damping and stability with the full-length carbon strips hiding inside the Santa Ana 98.
This is a reliable everyday driver for those who love to chase top speed and technical lines but don’t want to keep a second powder-day ski on the rack.
