With the ability to switch between hiking and climbing modes by simply tightening the laces at the rear eyelet, the Wildfire Edge is a shoe that has a wide range of uses. When the laces are tightened at the rear eyelet, the toes are pulled forward into the toe-box making it fit and act as more of a climbing shoe. Adding to the climbing feature, is the Wildfire's insole that incorporates an "Edging Plate' under the toes for directional stiffness. Loosening the laces at the rear eyelet and the shoe behaves more as a comfortable hiking shoe. The aggressive Pomoca sole and tread round out the features and makes for great traction in mud and softer trail conditions. Don't let all the tech talk scare you though, they are also a favorite in the shop for those long days on our feet and some folks even use them to mow their lawn.
