The Strafe Lynx pullover is an ideal ski shell jacket: Perfect waterproofing and breathability in an athletic fit for maximum range of motion.
For many of the best days on the mountain, a fully insulated jacket is too much. When the sun’s out and the powder’s deep, what you want is a guarantee you’ll stay dry – and the ultra-waterproof, ultra-breathable Strafe Lynx pullover shell is here for you.
The Strafe Lynx uses a lightweight Gore-Tex alternative called Recon Elite 3L. It’s a three-layer, highly breathable 4-way stretch fabric that both keeps nature’s moisture out and evicts your own sweaty air from inside. The longer anorak-style fit and extremely durable fabric mean you’ll never feel it bunch around you in the trees – and those whippy low branches won’t leave a mark. Strafe’s jackets feature a specially designed seamless shoulder construction that takes the range-of-motion focus to nother level.
In an industry where a lot of classic “core” brands have gone stale and corporate, Strafe is one of the new community-based apparel companies on the block. Founded in 2009 by Aspen-based skiers John and Pete Gaston, Strafe’s overall approach to making ski and snowboard clothes is shaped by the actual, practical needs of real-world winter sports – not the complacent “they’re just buying our logo” mindset of the big boys.
John and Pete fell in love with Highland Bowl in Aspen, where all-day laps require a lift ride and a summit hike up to 12,000 feet to rip down steep, technical powder lines. Everything that Strafe makes is therefore built for maximum waterproofing, breathability, and range of motion, in a distinct style that will make you stand out on the hill.
