The sun came out this morning, but the temperatures dropped below freezing last night, setting up the morning for crusty conditions in the backcountry today. If the sun stays out, south facing aspects may soften. Coverage is still excellent at all elevations right now with the deepest snowpack we have had all season. Follow the sun for best conditions.
Join us tomorrow for our second gathering of our weekly Wednesday evening “Skin and Sip” community skin event at the Midway parking lot at Stowe Mountain Resort. We will head up Perry Merrill for what looks to be sunny and warm day. Be there with skins on and ready to go for a 5:30pm departure time.
