Mother Nature delivered some excellent base building snow last night and into this morning with 3 to 4 inches of dense, heavy and wet snow that has blanketed the region today.  Currently the snow has switched over to sleet, freezing rain and plain old rain, which should be wrapping by early afternoon.  If we can keep what we just received, this is the perfect kind of snow that will stick to everything and provide us with a nice micro-base heading into the holiday weekend. Anyway you look at it from a New England skiers perspective, it will be a net gainer for sure.

This will give earn your turns skiers a chance to get out and explore the Gondola side of the mountain.  Stowe Mountain Resort is asking all skinners to go up and down the Chin Clip trail for the next few weeks.

Moving forward the up-and-coming week looks good for snowmaking to resume at the mountain and an expansion of trails to include Centerline, Jakes Run and Sunrise coming on board soon.

A quick reminder to all of our customers, the shop will be closed tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen for business at 8am on Friday.  We want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and safe holiday and hope all of you are spending time with family and friends.
