Conditions and Grilling Report

Conditions and Grilling Report

With Stowe now closed, it is the start I what I like to call the 3rd season.  I define each ski season with three separate seasons, the first being pre-season, where you are earning your turns before opening day of lift service.  The 2nd being the official season, opening day till closing day for lift service. Finally, the 3rd season, once the resort shuts down and its open game to skin and ski wherever you want at any time you want.

To celebrate the 3rd season, come join us today for an informal gathering at Sensation Quad dirt lot at Spruce Peak as we break out the grill, load up the cooler and celebrate sliding on snow.  Everyone is invited and we encourage you to bring your own grillables and your choice of beverages.  The gathering starts at 9am and goes till dark. Today should be a spectacular day, with temps reaching the mid 50’s at Spruce with mostly sunny skies.

Conditions wise, Main Street at Spruce is still holding strong with wall to wall, top to bottom coverage. Main Street Headwall and Side Street are also holding on to snow quite nicely to make the skin up a bit easier and give you another option when skiing down.

On the Mansfield side, there is still great top to bottom coverage on a large variety of trails.  Any snow making trail still has full coverage.  Perry Merrill and Gondolier are still going strong on the Gondy side while all man made snow trails off the Forerunner Quad are still skiing great.   Bump it up on Liftline, National, Centerline, Hayride and Gulch or cruise looking for flat corn on Lord, North Slope, Sunrise and Standard just to name a few.  Right now, you have plenty of options to choose from.

We hope to see you today over at Spruce or another day on either mountain as we celebrate spring earn your turns skiing.  Ski season is not over yet, so come on out bring some sunscreen and skin wax and well see you on the mountain.
