Scarpa’s innovative BAS (Boot Adaptive System) midsole enhances traction by allowing outsole lugs to adapt independently to uneven surfaces, maintaining consistent ground contact for better stability. Meanwhile, an external molded heel counter locks in the rear foot for increased control and security on steep or unstable ground.

Finished with a Vibram® BAS Precision Cramp outsole, the Zodiac Tech GTX is also semi-automatic crampon compatible, making it a reliable companion for light mountaineering objectives where agility matters just as much as protection.
