Designed and built in Bormio, Italy, the Ski Trab Titan Vario.2 is a touring binding for skiers who value reliability as much as weight savings. Every component is intentional—pared down, refined, and engineered to perform in serious terrain and demanding conditions.
At just 309 grams, the Titan Vario.2 balances featherlight efficiency with an impressively sophisticated release system. An innovative titanium core toe piece with independent jaws delivers consistent boot retention while reducing the risk of unwanted release. Underfoot, the heel unit adds controlled elasticity and multiple release options, creating a smooth, predictable feel both climbing and descending.
This is a binding built for long tours, technical lines, and skiers who don’t want to think about their gear once they’re moving.

Highly durable construction
Adjustable mounting range up to 34 mm
Titanium Core System
A single, elegantly simple titanium component links the two toe jaws, allowing them to function independently rather than symmetrically. This design improves boot retention and significantly reduces the chance of accidental release.
The elastic titanium wire closure adapts seamlessly to different boot inserts, while finely finished pins actively clear snow and ice during use. Entry is intuitive and efficient—engage with hand or pole, step in, and lock with confidence.
Independent Titanium Jaws
Unlike traditional pin bindings, the Titan system allows each jaw to move independently, improving elasticity and safety while maintaining a secure hold on the boot.
Roto-Riveted Pins
Hardened steel pins with self-cleaning hollows are roto-riveted for long-term durability and consistent engagement.
The heel unit is designed to enhance both safety and performance:
Up to 43° of lateral elasticity
Sliding track with up to 8 mm of elastic travel
Three selectable front and lateral release ranges for precise tuning
This combination delivers smoother energy absorption, improved release quality, and greater confidence when skiing aggressively or in variable snow.
