After a very cold and windy weekend, this morning continues to be crisp and cold, but the suns out and temps are warming up for this afternoon.

The snow continues to be dry and light and still untracked in many places even days after high skier traffic.  We can thank the winds for refreshing many areas, but also be aware that winds did impact some areas turning soft snow zones into slab, crust and wind scoured conditions too.  Knowing what aspects stay protected from the winds and what aspects work well with wind and snow regeneration and not wind scouring, will help you find those coveted refreshed and untracked areas.

With 55 inches now at the Mansfield snow stake, the many surrounding sidecountry and backcountry zones that make up the greater Stowe area continue to provide great coverage and overall conditions for all to enjoy.

Temperatures will continue to rise as the week progresses, with snow coming in on Tuesday night and into Wednesday.  Later in the week, it is looking like another warm up with some liquid coming down from the sky as well.  Fingers crossed it won’t be too bad of a rain event.

With that being said, more reason and motivation to get out there now and over the next 3 days while conditions still stay at optimal levels.
